T his book is the bible of Sherman history. A great weekend read, I highly recommend it. It has a very interesting section on British crew opinions and some very interesting drawings made by crews during the war.
This book cleared up what an M6 was, I ran into a reference to it in another book but had never heard of it. It also has a fair number of German tanks pictured as well.

This book is really a must have. That man is Steven Zaloga, who has to be one of the most prolific writers on the Sherman tank and American Armor, if not the most, in publishing history, and he is good.
He also published books on the Marines use of Armor in Korea and Vietnam. This is a great look into both the life of Soviet tankers, and their use of the M4A2 Sherman.
